Dee
Parker loves to paint using
pastels and oils. She paints
on location and then
finishes each painting in
her home studio. Dee
received most of her formal
training at the Boston
Museum School of Fine Arts
where she majored in design
and oil painting.
After
raising a family in the New
England area, Dee was
inspired to get back into
painting by Charles Sovek,
an established painter from
Connecticut. Dee took his
painting workshops from Cape
Cod to Wyoming. Dee
eventually moved to the
Jackson Hole area where she
has studied with another
well-known painter from
Colorado, Skip Whitcomb.
Dee is
a world traveler and
whenever she travels she
brings her paints. She
welcomes the challenges that
new locations provide and
she has traveled to
locations such as Europe,
Mexico, China and all
throughout the United
States. Dee chooses to make
her home in Wyoming and
enjoys finding many new and
exciting subjects right out
her back door.
