Pino Daeni |
Pino Daeni, was born Giuseppe Dangelico in
Bari, Italy in 1939. Trained at the Art Institute of Bari, and
later at Milan's Academy of Brera, Pino perfected his skills painting
nudes and figure studies heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and
Macchiaioli. Over the next several years, his work received
critical acclaim in major exhibitions in Italy and throughout
Europe. In 1979 he immigrated to the United States and became
one of the most sought after book cover illustrators in the world.
Pino's technique, his warm & exciting colors and the subtle, but
simple approach to his subject, are his trademarks. Always
underlining his success as a commercial artist, was his desire to
express his own thoughts and emotions. Years later, these images
have been brought to life in Pino's original oils on canvas, gyclee
and serigraphs. |
