Esther Rogoway |
![]() Esther Rogoway has lived and studied in a variety of geographicenvironments that many artists would find exciting, inspirational and insome instances even mystical. These locales have become a part ofher spirit, but it is from her inner soul that Esther created her works ofart. Esthers bold use of color is an elegant balance between opposites, often harkening back to the American Southwest. Esther is the daughter of noted artist Alfred Rogoway, so she grew up aroundartists, writers, and poets. At an early age she was being exposed to creativethought devoid of constraints. Esther worked for many years in the field ofcommercial art, then married and raised her family. Esther spent formativeyears in San Francisco, Big Sur, Sante Fe, Taos, Mexico, Cannes, and Mijas, Spain, all being communities where artistry was an integral part oflife itself. Esther has studied at the Tumbridge Wells School of Art in England and at the Art Institute of Barcelona, Spain. |
